Valentine Card #2 That’s Amore

Hello everyone. I am back today with Valentine #2 in my 2017 series. Today I am using Avery Elle’s stamp set Dreamboat. I actually tried a little something different today. This is new to me and to be honest I am not sure I like it yet.
Thinking of the movies I have seen on Venice with the canal flowing in between buildings I decided to add that to my card.
I started off with the background. I took a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it to a 4×5 1/4. I then grabbed some Distress inks. I used Brick Red and Salty Ocean. I sponged the colored where I wanted them on the card. I then took Copic marker E08, E09 and E97 and made brick lines and colored a few here and there.

I dropped a few droplets of water on the blue to represent the water. Later I stamped the little waves using Salty Ocean on it as well.

In the mean time I stamped the image on a piece of white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink. I colored the skin first using Copic markers E00, E01, E21 and R20.

For the rest of the image I used:
E44 and E47 for the boat, E09, E97 his hair, E13, E18 her hair, R35, R46 the stripe on his hat and shirt, C5 and C7 for his pants and then finally Y15 and Y35 for her outfit.

I cut the image out using my detailed scissors and adhered him to the bottom of the card. For the sentiment I used a piece of yellow cardstock and Distressed the edges with Ripe Persimmon.

A few little reddish brown sequins finished off today’s card.
I think it is growing on me. 🙂

Have a wonderful day everyone. I will be back tomorrow with another card for you.
