Valentine Card #1 Love Monster

Hello friends. Today I started my Valentine cards. I figured after what happen with my Christmas cards it is never too early to start. I am actually thinking about doing a few Christmas cards each month as well. Would that be something you would like to see? Let me know your ideas on that.

Today however like I said I am starting my Valentine series. For this card I pulled out my Paper Smooches stamp set “Falling For You”. I stamped the little monster on a scrap piece of 110 lb card stock and colored him using Copic markers. paper-smooches-falling-for-you-3

I used Copic marker RV13. RV14 and RV17 to color him in. I cut him out using my detailed scissors and laid him aside.
I then took a couple of Distress Ink pads in Picked Rasperry and Worn Lipstick mushed them on a piece of plastic and spritz it with a little water.
Then I picked up the card base and pushed it into the plastic.

I used my Misti tool to line the sentiment up straight on the card base and stamped it using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Using a couple of pieces of foam adhesive I popped the little monster up on the card base. Then to finish it off I stamped one of the hearts from the same set up next to the word love.

I was very happy with the way this came out. I think I will be making some more similar down the road.
I hope you enjoyed my post today. Let me know what you think. Leave me comment.

Have a wonderful day.
