Growing in Unity Day 3

Hello friends. Today is Day 3 of Growing in Unity. Today I am also featured on the Unity Stamp Co Blog.

For my card today I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit.  I am sticking with the “coffee theme” but I added a little to this one.
First off I stamped the Unity Stamp Co image on a piece of Watercolor paper. I then painted the image using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors to color the image. I am loving how I can blend these colors so well.  I set the image aside and let it dry which didn’t take all that much time. While it was drying I cut the background paper which is from Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather pattern paper pad. I also die cut the work Dream out of a deep purple cardstock.
I picked up the piece of watercolor paper and distressed the edges using a pair of scissors. I didn’t really give it the look I was looking for. So I added the modeling paste again. Just to the edges. After is dried I sponged Distress Ink in Old Paper on the modeling paste. Now it looked ok to me. 🙂 I wanted the cold fallish look .
