Ann Butler Designs and Walnut Hollow

Good Saturday morning everyone! How are Y’all today?
(If your here for Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight Saturday scroll to the next post)

Welcome to Muffins and Lace and my creation for
The Ann Butler Designs and Walnut Hollow Blog Hop.
I am so excited to be part of this fabulous hop.

For my creation I am using
The Rustic Pallet 14″ x 24″ Wood – Surface

I started by painting the surface with Rust-Oleum Chalkboard Paint.

While the paint dried I started on my lettering.

I found some sheet music and decided to use it to stamp
my words on. I used Ann Butler Designs EZ-De’s Flourish 2″ ABC’s set.
I stamped the letter on to the sheet music using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
Then I cut each word out.

I took some Gel Medium and brushed a little on the back of each word
then laid it on the wood surface where I wanted it. I then put a light coat
of the Gel Medium over the top.

Once it was completely dry I used some chalk around the words
to sort of rough it up a little and give it the “chalkboard” look.
I then added some flowers in each of the top corners and that was it.

This is one of my favorite sayings and I already
have a spot on my wall to hang it. You can find a list of
all the supplies used for this projects and links to purchase at the bottom of this post.

I’ve used this saying many times. Sometimes when I use these “antigue” sayings I have to explain them to my granddaughter (she’s 28). they don’t get used much anymore and the younger generation seems to be losing them.
Great sign. Glad you have the perfect place to hang it.
